WHERE TO EAT IN ANTIBES ?

LE SAFRANIER

For lunch and dinner

Le Safranier is located in the heart of the city but in a quiet place, with a pretty terrace in the shade of the trees.

Mediterranean cuisine with fresh, seasonal produce from the market. Reduced menu because everything is prepared “à la minute”.

The food is very creative, with a definite local Provence flavour. No particular recommendation because the menu changes according to the market but there are always the famous zucchini flowers of Provence !

LA GUINGUETTE

For lunch and dinner

Mediterranean cuisine in a magical place!

Restaurant in the heart of the old town, decorated like a guinguette with porcelain tableware.

The highlight of this place is the courtyard behind the restaurant, with a very French atmosphere, small lanterns in the trees, colorful tables and chairs, retro chandeliers. Change of scenery guaranteed, with excellent cuisine!

Some examples: Zucchini flower fritters, pesto mousse, creamy burrata, tomato and watermelon salad, mint and basil infused olive oil, seabass ceviche with coconut milk, ginger, citrus fruits, beets and avocado, Filet roast sea bass, pan-fried vegetables, flaxseed and sage-infused lemon cream.

LE COMPTOIR DE LA TOURRAQUE

For dinner

In summer, Le Comptoir de la Tourraque sets up on the edge of a washhouse, behind the restaurant. Home cooking, with fresh and seasonal products cooked by chef Nicolas.

The plates are beautiful and plentiful!

Personally, I enjoyed the minced octopus as a starter and the crispy half-cooked tuna as a main course.

Formula starter + dish + dessert at 44 euros! Rare for this quality !

AMOUR CAFÉ

Breakfast/brunch/lunch

Two lovers opened this coffee-shop/tea room/restaurant in a small alley in old Antibes.

Sandrine and Christophe welcome you in their cozy and air-conditioned living room or outside, for savory dishes, delicacies and brunch on weekends.

I love Christophe’s French Presse Coffee and Sandrine’s lemon cake.

Everything is fresh and homemade.

You will find sandwiches with salmon, avocado, ricotta, scrambled eggs, salads, seasonal quiches, cookies still warm or… French toast and its caramel cream!!!

CHOOPY’S

Breakfast/brunch/lunch

Choopy’s Cupcakes & Coffee Shop welcomes you in a warm and friendly atmosphere… just in front of the house… go to the terrace and you will see the pink chairs of Choopy’s.

Between the restaurant and the tea room, they specialize in the creation of gluten-free pastries (cupcake, cookie, brownie, muffin…).

You can also enjoy brunches, sandwiches, omelets, as well as homemade and minute dishes.

The team speaks perfect English.

My favorite cake : cinnamon banana bread with an almond milk latte…

Route : right in front of the house…
